Spill the Tea: Fave Fashion Blogs to Read

fashion news

Hi blog fam! I’m back.

Finally. Back after a much-needed break of a month off in January. Sorry for the delay but I also have some new updates for you all: I got glasses.

Sometime in December I noticed myself squinting, my eyes constantly feeling strained, getting headaches, and feeling like I couldn’t read things up close or focus on them too well. I thought I was going blind lol and pretty much freaked out, saw the eye doctor, and voila - ya girl wears glasses now.

I actually have the kind of prescription that’s considered a bi-focal ish situation? I have two prescriptions actually. One for just reading up close, and one that’s for distance and up close. I feel like this is pretty much karma for always wanting glasses when I was younger because I thought they were cool and trendy haha. Anyways, I just got my glasses last week, so up until that point I told myself I’d take a break from the computer and screens until my eyesight was fixed. So up two new designer frames and a minor financial set back, I’m back at it.

(side note: if you do need frames - I highly recommend MODO, they donate to children in need to help with eye exams, surgeries, etc.)

That being said, I wanted to keep this round-up light, so here goes. A couple of my faves from the past month:

French Girl Starter Kit

Always a fangirl of Goop and anything french.

I've Always Worked in Fashion and Bet These Shoe Trends Will Rule Spring 2020

I’m kind of obsessed with Who What Wear’s trends articles. Mostly bc I like to pretend I’m a fashion critic and judge each trend and file under “yes, love!” or “no I would never wear that” immediately.

Late-Winter Style Updates That’ll Work through Spring

Because green is my favorite lately and I really need that Officine Generale shirt dress asap.

My Favorite Shoes This Season By Huma Blanco

Taylr Anne shares some major shoe envy.

I Look at My Closet and See an Ecosystem

Love MR always and especially when they feature writers. They really inspired me to start writing in the first place and I love when they shine the light on some of their contributors.

I know it’s short and sweet, but I hope you still enjoy it. And if you’re a fellow glasses-wearer, pls share your tips, any tips. Like why do my lens always have fingerprints on them when I just leave them in the case - my bff warned me of this and yet I’m still surprised when I see it. Sigh.
